Being interested in technology since a young age, Andrew Karpiuk started out in the robotics course at Medicine Hat High School and later enrolled in the information technology program at the Medicine Hat College, focusing on software and internet development. After graduating in 2022 he worked for a division of Argo Sales which specializes in the custom manufacturing of oil and gas surface facilities, becoming interested in the design aspect of the industry. He decided to change careers and is currently enrolled in the CADD/BEET program at the Medicine Hat College working towards his diploma.
How has learning about various techniques changed your perspective on your own abilities and/or the usefulness of sketching as a form of visual communication?
Learning about various techniques, specifically with sketching has changed my perspective on my drawing abilities. Having a more logical approach makes it more straightforward when it comes to adding details and realistic perspectives.
